Summary

Double photographic plate holder for folding field camera, quarter plate size, with two dark slides. Mahogany body with metal fittings. Hinged opening. Plates slide out when metal catches are rotated to release them. One side of the plate holder has the number 3 in a white circle and the other side has number 4.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
