Summary
A Watch Pocket Klimax folding miniature camera with horizontal bed. Sold in England by Butcher, and made in Germany by ICA c.1912-25, where it was known as Victrix (Nr 48). Takes 4.2 x 6cm plates. Has a Lukos II everset shutter, also made by ICA for Butcher, with a British Aldis Uno Anastigmat lens. Metal body covered with stippled black leather and black leather bellows. A brilliant finder is attached to the lens mount, which is focused through a radial lever at the front of bed. A ground glass viewing screen slots into back of camera, to be replaced by plate holder when view is framed. Markings: 'WATCH POCKET "Klimax" ' is marked above focusing lever. Lens is marked with model name (above) and 'F7.7, 3in'. Shutter is also marked with model name (above) and speeds '25, 50, 100, T, B'.
