Summary
Kodak Bantam f.8 miniature camera, containing a roll of 828 film, with image area 28 x 40 mm. A compact Bakelite snapshot camera with a single speed shutter, the rectangular lens housing extends and retracts flush with the body. This camera also has button by the film wind knob, which indexes the film as it is wound. With the lens retracted, the shutter cannot be operated. Lens: Kodalinear f/8 40mm, shutter: Single Speed, film type: 828, picture size: 28 x 40 mm, yellow-green picture number window, natural metal frame finder. Markings: On metal sliding catch on side of camera: " Kodak Bantam F.8. Made in U.S.A. by Eastman Kodak Co. Rochester, N.Y." Inside back cover: yellow & orange label printed in black: "Use Kodak Film F-828 or X828. It gets the picture." Followed by patent details. On the roll of film inside the camera: "Verichrome Pan 828 film", "Kodak film", "Exposed, fold under before sealing".
