Summary
'Japan' is embossed on base of camera.A sub-miniature Steky Model 111 camera made by Riken Optical, Japan, c.1950-55. The camera has a metal body, partially covered with stippled black leatherette. Steknar Anastigmat 25mm, f3:5 interchangeable lens. The lens is cited in McKeown's Price Guide to Antique and Classic Cameras (12th ed.) as 'focusing', but this camera has a non-focusing lens. Above the lens on front of camera is the shutter and shutter speeds, altered by a slider mechanism. The winding knob and frame counter are on right hand side, with view finder on left as well as mount for lens cover.Film is loaded by removing side panel. Markings: 'Steky' is inscribed above shutter speed slider. 'Model III' and 'Use 16mm film', is inscribed on side.'Japan' is embossed on base of camera.
