Summary
Robot I, clockwork motordriven miniature camera. For 24 x 24 mm exp. on 35mm film. Spring motor automatic film advance. Wound up by means of a large knob on top of the camera. The shutter is released by pressing a smaller knob by the side of this, the film wound on when the shutter knob was released. Small optical viewfinder rotates 90 degrees (deep purple filter when viewed at 90 degrees). Robot I uses "Type K" Robot film cartridges (which only fit the Robot I). Metal body, covered in black leather except top and bottom. Rotating shutter. Special built-in green filter. Frame counter. Lens: Schneider-Krauznach Xenar f/2.8. Markings: On Frame Counter: "Otto Berning & Co. Schwelm-Westf". On back of camera body metal plate with "Robot" logo. On Shutter: "Robot" logo.
