Van Neck Press Camera - strut folding plate hand camera with Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar f/4.5 lens. The body is metal (with some wood around viewing hood interior) with a black leather covering. Metal detailing. Brown leather carrying strap. Viewing hood. Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar f/4.5 lens, Black leather bellows. Markings: Distance scale in yards, above lens. Painted in silver on front of camera in two places, the capital letter "B".

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
