Summary
A Houghtons Ltd Folding Ensign rollfilm Camera made by Houghtons Ltd. of London. Folding black metal bed and rear door, Wooden body with black leatherette covering. Leather strap embossed with 'Ensign' is attached to top of camera. Chrome (?) struts, shutter release lever, winding knob, clasps and catches. Black leather bellows with rotating black enamel metal brilliant finder. Rear door slides up to load film. Lens: Rectimat Symmetrical F8. Manufacturer's mark on right side of camera.

Part of The Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
