Summary
A Tropical Carbine no.4 folding rollfilm camera manufactured by Houghton, Butcher Manufacturing Co. Metal camera with metal chain handle and brown leather bellows. Takes 6x9 cm pictures on one 20 roll film. Lens F7.7 Focal length 4.75 inches. Trichro shutter with settings T, B, 25, 50 & 100. Distance scale and Rotating viewfinder. Includes a cable release which is stored on the hinged cover plate. Reference E5727 etched inside back cover, also on camera body. Orange and white label, printed with black ink affixed inside back cover reads: 'To Obtain the best results with this camera ask for 2 1/4 B Ensign Speedy Film, Made in Great Britain'. Manufactureres Plate 'HBM Co. Ltd. London.' Metal Label on baseboard 'No. 4 Ensign Carbine Made in England'
