Summary
An albumen print photograph depicting Trient - the historic German name for Trento, formerly part of Austria-Hungary and now the capital of the province of Trentino in Italy. The city is on a flat plain in the foreground with mountains behind it in the distance. The photograph is in landscape format and has diagonally cut corners. The print is mounted onto an album page of heavy white card. Markings: Beneath the photograph, handwritten in black ink and underlined: "Trient in the Tyrol", and in the bottom right corner of the album page, handwritten in black ink and underlined: "April 1884".
