Summary
An albumen print photograph of the head of the Medusa in the Museum of Naples. There are two snakes' heads at the top of the object. The photograph shows part of the object which appears to be made of metal and is in the form of a medallion. The print is mounted onto a white stiff card page on the left hand side within the album. The photograph is in portrait format and has diagonally cut corners. Markings: Bottom of the page, below the photograph, handwritten in ink and underlined, are the words: ' Head of the Medusa'
