Summary
An albumen print photograph of Naples. The print depicts a panorama view of Naples across the bay with Mt Vesuvius in the background. The photograph is taken from a viewpoint at the Hill of Posilipo. In the foreground there is undergrowth and hedging, and to the lefthand side of the picture there is a large cedar tree. The print is mounted onto a white stiff card page on the righthand side within an album. The photograph is in landscape format and has diagonally cut corners. Markings: Bottom of the page, below the photograph, handwritten in ink and underlined, are the words: 'Panorama of Naples from the Hill of Posilipo'.
