Summary
An albumen print cabinet card of Rev Philip Lockton of Towcester, Northants, mounted on a paper page within an album. The photograph is in portrait format and has square corners. The picture is of an elderly man, in a studio posed three quarter length portrait in full profile. The gentleman has a receding hairline and a large full beard, front and sides, and he is wearing an ecclesiasticald gown. He is stood holding a book with both hands and there is a small table to his right upon which there are a few books. The photograph has has a brown border line and the photographers name 'W H MASON' printed in the bottom left corner and place 'CROYDON' in the bottom right corner. Picture captioned below on the album page in pencil: "Rev Ph Lockton of Towcester Northants"
