Summary
A 19th Century album containing 77 albumen print photographs. The album is entitled "Photographs", gilt blocked dark grey cloth boards and leather spine containing 77 mounted photographs, portraits of the Wood family, Temple Frome, East Sheen, scenes in India dated May 21 1861, Edinburgh and Scotland, Venice and Rouen. The whole album is bound in dark grey cloth. The front and back boards are identical and plain. The (3) front free endpapers are made of plain paper. On the top right hand side of the front end paper is hand written in pencil "2747" and "77 prints.
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
