Summary
An albumen print photograph depicting a full-quarter length portrait of four women. One woman is seated on a couch or bed and holds a sisha pipe. Two other women are seated on a rug at the foot of the couch, one of them holding a drum. All three women are dressed in light dresses and have small caps/hair decorations. The fourth woman is black, and she is standing at the back of the scene, holding a tray. She is wearing a darker dress and a cap or scarf on her hair. The print is mounted directly onto the page in the album. The portrait is one of a number collected into a section of the album devoted to Egypt..
