Summary
An albumen print photograph of a sculpture, in carte de visite format, mounted in a white stiff card page within an album. The window of the mount is portrait format and has curved corners. It is surrounded by a 5mm wide embossed margin. The picture is of a statue showing a seated couple, in a close embrace, kissing. The male figure is naked. The female figure has material drapped across her hips. The statue carries a label, 'GAMBOGI freres, editeurs, rue de Richelieu, 112, ...' A second label, pinned to the plinth, appears to read 'DEUXIEME PRIX'. Recto nil; Verso nil
