Summary
An albumen print photograph of a painting, in carte de visite format, mounted into a white stiff card page within an album. The window of the mount is portrait format and has curved corners. It is surrounded by a 5mm wide embossed margin. The painting is of "Slave Market" painted 1866 by Jean Leon Gerome (1824-1904) in which a young girl is being sold as a slave whilst a man checks her teeth. Recto nil. Verso nil.
