Summary
An albumen print photograph of a painting, in carte de visite format, mounted into a white stiff card page within an album. The window of the mount is portrait format and has curved corners. It is surrounded by a 5mm wide embossed margin. Leda and the Swan. A nude female, lying sideways on a cloth in a woodland setting. She has a flower garland in her hair and a pearl bracelet on her right wrist. She is touching a round, richly decorated object. A swan, with its wings spread, has its neck against her thigh. Recto nil. Verso nil.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
