Summary
An albumen print photograph of 3 sculptures, in carte de visite format, mounted in a white stiff card page within an album. The window of the mount is portrait format and has curved corners. It is surrounded by a 5mm wide embossed margin. The picture is of a gallery scene showing three different classical statues which are mounted on rectangular plinths. The first statue in the foreground is of a full length male and female nude, embraced, and kissing, in an upright position. She is partially covered from the waist down by a material drape. They both have their right arms outstretched and touching hands. The second statue, situated behind and to the right in the picture, is of a full length upright male nude looking down to possibly an animal, possibly a lion. His left arm is outstretched touching the animal which is clinging to his left leg. The third statue is situated in the far left hand corner of the picture. It is of a full length upright figure of a nude with both arms reaching up to the right at shoulder height.
