Summary
Plain, rectangular dark wood box with small, worn, white painted square in the centre of the lid . Lid has two brass hinges. Box has brass escutcheon plate. Remnants of paper label on the inside of the lid reads, Reginald Merivale / To G.A.Gibbs / Christmas 1881. G A G / Christmas 1862 / G A Gibbs / Christmas 1881. Name above the paper label written in black paint reads, J.E. Merivale.
