Brown painted tin cheval mirror for dolls.

Full description

John Evans was listed as a toy and Japan manufacturer in Dudley Road, Wolverhampton in 1816 and in partnership with his stepson Sidney Cartwright, he produced tin dollhouse furniture until about 1880.

Provenance

Purchased with the family collection of Abbey contents in situ from Mrs Petronella Burnett-Brown December 2009.
