Summary
Oil painting on canvas, A Wedding Scene, by an Unknown artist, signed to the bottom right hand corner with a stylised “M”. Mounted inside a white painted pine frame with canvas and gilt bordered edge. Depicting five adults and two children, including the bride, groom, priest and guests, standing in a field facing the front, with a church to the background on the left and houses to the background on the right.
Provenance
Bequeathed with the 575 Wandsworth Road to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache (1935 - 2006); acquired fully in November 2010.
