Summary
Gouache and ink painting on linen, A God and Courtesans in a Garden, Indian School. An Indian ink and paint on cotton canvas painting of a god and courtesans in a garden, predominantly in grey, green and blue paint, with some gilt paint accents. Framed by a later pine carved border, made by Khadambi Asalache, comprising three rows of circular piercing within a solid border. Joined together with nails and glue.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache (1935 - 2006); acquired fully in November 2010.
