Summary
Gouache on paper, Galatea and her Dolphins (after Raphael). One of a pair of gouaches (see 7B), after the fresco in the Villa Farnesina, Rome. Galathea sits on a pink shell drawn by a pair of dolphins ridden by cupids, one blowing a horn. On black ground, a small oval of blue water only.
