Summary
A hopper feeder made by Lord Brothers, Todmorden, in 1920. This is the first part of the first machine to process the raw cotton. This large compartment is filled with raw cotton, which is then fed into the scutcher (NT.1453862) and lap machine (NT.1456863) to create a lap (roll) of raw cotton.
