Summary

A beamer made by Thomas Holt Ltd, Rochdale. Also known as a winding frame, the beamer winds yarn from hundreds of bobbins mounted on a creel (NT.1453848) around a metal beam. This makes the warp beam that goes on the back of a loom to make up the warp threads.

The beamer/winding frame was purchased from Messrs Green in Whalley, Lancashire.
