Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Thomas Greg of Coles (1752 - 1832), British (English) School, 19th century. A half-length portrait of a young boy in a blue suit and round collared frilly cuffed shirt. He is standing with one hand placed on an upholstered chair. It is a copy from the (attributed to) Strickland Lowry (1737 - c. 1785) painting of the Greg family, circa 1765, on loan to the property from Alistair Rae (great-nephew of Alexander Carlton Greg (1901 - 1990), full-length, 2nd from the right.
