Summary
One of a set of four figures entitled THE RUSTIC SEASONS, Summer, as a boy in gilt-flowered apricot breeches, the left leg turned up showing turquoise lining, a white shirt with a blue sash edged with gilt, a white coat trimmed with gilt and lined with mauve, leaning against a tree-trunk beside a bee-skep over which is his coat, in his left hand he holds ears of corn and in his right a sheaf, a garland of wheat on his head, standing on a grassy base. Blue cross on base and 3 in gilt.
