Full description
Flintlock holster pistol, Turkish c1800. Round iron barrel, the slightly flattened breech with chiselled lines and engraved decoration. Brass front and rear sights. Retained to the stock by an iron small band embossed with scrolling decoration. Length 28.8 cm. Calibre 16 mm. Wooden full stock, carved overall with decorative patterns, part of the forestock missing. Engraved brass furniture comprising; bulbous spurred butt cap (part damaged), the finial missing, and pierced sideplate. Trigger guard missing. Scroll form trigger. A leather band is fixed around the grip with brass headed nails. Engraved flintlock, the thick curving plate of flat form with strongly bevelled edges. Square top frizzen with serrated face and facetted back. Faceted pan. Retained to the stock by 2 sidenails. Overall length: 47.5cm.
