Summary
[Destroyed in the fire of 2015] Early George III mahogany chinoiserie chair attributed to Ince and Mayhew, the slightly splayed back pierced with a trellis and with roses at the intersections, and the cresting with a pagoda motif at the centre, scrolls and trellis, with a blind fret frieze and matching fret to the chamfered legs, and with a spade-shaped drop-in seat covered in contemporary floral needlework on a terracotta ground.
