One of a pair of Bow figures, perhaps intended as Winter and Spring from a set of the Seasons, or a gardener and his companion. Both seated on stumps, the man flanked by holly berries and with a muff at his feet, and both holding floral wreaths, their clothes of typical puce, blue and brocaded colours, the scroll bases picked out in turquoise, pink and gold.
