Summary
Court cupboard. A two-tiered, oak 17th century style credenza. The carcase may, but not certainly, incorporate pieces of 17thC woodwork. Parquetry with a diaper pattern of burr woods top; upper frieze with intersecting arcade centre on date '1066', putti masks at ends. The middle with trapezoid cupboard of three carved panels, the centre panel hinged. Middle frieze opens as a drawer, the front carved with petalled lunettes. Lower frieze carved with paired scrolls. Uprights with leaf-carved 'cup and cover' balusters.
