Summary
FRONT PLATE OF A PIKEMAN'S GORGET; Broad, with a raised neck and a point at the centre. The main edges have plain inward turns and recessed borders containing lining rivets. There are three recessed bands, bordered on the raised areas by double incised lines, joining the neck and lower edges. At the right is a keyhole slot and at the left a rivet hole for the pivot rivet, by which the lost rear plate was attached.
