Summary
Gouache on paper, A Fountain at Marino near Rome, by G.B. Busiri (1698-1757). An open space amid woody slopes of the Alban Hills, with rustic tower and a fountain where women are engaged washing linen. In foreground is an old begger seated, two washerwomen returning home.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
