Summary
Gouache on paper, Vespasian's Amphitheatre now called Colosseo, Rome, by G.B. Busiri (1698-1757). The Colosseum is seen in the middle distance, partly screened by trees, figures in foreground and fragments of a temple at left.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
