Summary
A bronze sculpture; an equestrian statuette of Marcus Aurelius, Emperor of Rome (121-180) by the Italian School (?). The full-length figure of Marcus Aurelius on horseback is modelled after the antique bronze equestrian statue in the Capitoline Museum.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
