Summary
An ash, walnut and feather banded cabinet on secretaire chest, English, circa 1735. The upper section with a moulded cornice above a single mirrored cupboard door enclosing an arrangement of twelve drawers and nine pigeon holes. The lower section with a hinged secretaire drawer enclosing five drawers and ten pigeon holes. With three further long drawers below and raised on ogee bracket feet. The bracket feet later and the turned wooden handles on the lower section later.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
