A pair of mahogany open armchairs or library chairs, English, circa 1770 Re upholstered in leather with a padded rectangular back and seat, the padded arms with solid scroll terminals and down swept supports joining square section chamfered legs tied by stretchers, loose cushion seat.

Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
