A mahogany and brass bound cellarette, English, circa 1790 The hinged lid with a single brass band enclosing a lead lined compartmented interior, the body with a further two brass bands with deep canted corners and brass handles to the sides. Raised on a base with four turned legs and brass castors
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
