Summary
A painted beech, mahogany grained and marble top side table, English, mid 18th century The Carrara marble rectangular top above an egg and dart carved moulded edge and guilloche carved frieze. Raised on twin end square section scrolled and reeded front legs and block feet. Each outside leg with a conforming profile faced to the side. The single back legs repeating the design.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969).
