Summary
Print, engraving, A Performance of 'The Indian Emperor' or 'The Conquest of Mexico by the Spaniards', Act 4 scene 2.(after William Hogarth) by Robert Dodd (1748 – London 1815). Four children on stage perform the play while a group of adults look on or talk amongst themselves. Set in a room with a high ceiling, classical busts and family portraits with curtains deliniating the stage. Wooden frame, glazed.

Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
