Print, mezzotint, The Rt Hon. George Townshend, 1st Marquess Townshend (1724-1807) (after Thomas Hudson) by James McArdell (Dublin c.1729 – London 1765). Three quarter length standing portrait of a man who looks out to his left wearing military uniform and carrying a hat under his left arm and a document in his right hand - 'Act for the Better Order of the Militia Forces'. Black frame, gilt slip, glazed. Mezzotint.
