Summary
Print, engraving or mezzotint, The Rt. Hon. Charles James Fox MP (1749-1806) (after Sir Joshua Reynolds PRA) by John Jones (1700-1770). Published 1784. Three-quarter length standing portrait of Fox turned to his left with his right hand resting on some papers on a table. He wears a long waistcoat and a coat which is fastened by only one button. Behind is a parapet with the base of a column and a curtain to the right. Black wood frame with gilt bands, glazed.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer ( 1906-1969).
