Summary
A cut glass bottle with silver rim and stopper. English. Heavy lead cystal round scent bottle with two step cuts on the shoulder, the spherical body with five panels of deep cutting based on eight-pointed stars, alternating with plain panels, three cut steps, star-cut base. Silver cylindrical neck and mouth (bent), hallmarked with maker's initials 'TW and S, lion, castle, ...'. The stopper with a large tear and cutting en suite with the body.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
