Summary

South Indian brass parrot, late 19th century on shaped base with wheels, eyes inlaid with copper and silver, the feathers and other details engraved. Hinged in two parts revealing a series of spherical and oval cavities within the body.

Purchased from the estate of the late Lord Wraxall with the assistance of the NHMF and donations from members and supporters.
