Summary

A historic water system comprising of an earthenware Belfast sink with lead lined softwood drainer adjacent and original lead pipes to single brass tap and water purifier. Uppark's unique position on top of the downs is attributable to the creation of the pump house in South Harting. The pump house contains three pumps, an overshot wheel, a solid fuel pump and an electric pump. The sites of three original ram pumps is known.
