Summary
One of a pair of Regency patinated and gilt bronze banner screens with silk brocade panels, hanging from rolls on cords adjustable by weights; the fluted pillars stemming from triple monopodia and trefoil shaped supports cast and chased with shells and foliage. English, early 19th Century. Lady Meade intentionally left the banner unrestored to show state of it when she arrived in 1931. (NT/UPP/M/1b is other in pair).
