Summary
One of a pair of Chippendale period rectangular bevelled plated wall glasses, the giltwood frames carved with scrolls, foliage and other rococo motifs and with typical high crestings.
Full description
May be attributed to John Bladwell. The the bevelled glass plates is original, the glass in 123696.2 was replaced by Lady Meade-Fetherstonhaugh in 1933. This pair are en suite with the examples in the Prince Regent's Room, Tapestry Bedroom (1st Floor) and a Bedroom on the second floor. Thus a set of five. the plate glass is backed with a tin-mercury amalagm
