Summary
A Victorian mahogany medicine cabinet, around 1850-1907. Rectangular with a moulded cornice and standing on a plinth. Two doors with mirror inserts in recessed beading. Right hand door with brass bound keyhole, key missing. On wooden plinth with loose wooden shaped top. Base crudely shaped to accommodate skirting board. Deep doors are hung on three hinges showing externally and allowing doors to be fully opened. Right hand door with substantial lock stamped; SECURE / A.W. / PATENT / EVER. Back of door supports nine shelves, some of which are stained.Left hand door carries internal bolt top and bottom and receiver for lock, Shelves match right hand door and some are stained.Five shelves in main body can be adjusted in height by placing pegs in holes from top to bottom. Shelves stained.
