The garment is embroidered in an all-over pattern of scrolling tendrils and abstrct petal shapes in peach floss thread (rayon) and silver metallic thread. The dress is sleeveless, with a deep opening at CB, fastening by a self-fabric tie. Skirt is split from hips to hem (to show pleated panel of under-dress). Edges finished with floss thread in satin stitch. Shoulder seam finished with hem-stitch faggotting. Small press-studs to retain straps of underdress. Seams machined; hand-finished.
