Summary
Part of court dress; Court dress of cream satin overlaid with silk net heavily embroidered at bodice and hem with floral design in long clear bugles, short clear and metallic glass bugles, large and small pearl beads; the bodice overlaid with belt and straps of cream satin and velvet embroidered with lyre, heart and leaf motifs in floss thread, metallic bugles and small pearl beads; the trained back with hook and eye fastening, with long satin panel with two asymetrically placed tasselled rosettes of metallic bugles and pearl beads. Lined throughout with cream silk, with mushroom pleating to hem. Labelled 'Caplin and Ballard, 32 Heath Street, Hampstead'. 1911 (circa)
